F1rst believes that training is an important and effective tool for first responders. We put training as a top priority followed by wellness checks to identify possible candidates for therapy if needed. We have a partnership with sports academy in Frisco, TX, with the philosophy that the physical effects of trauma and the job of a first responder are often forgotten. We have taken the coaches, manual therapists, and advanced diagnostics that sports academy uses to train professional athletes and brought it to the first responder community. We have a program that allows someone who was in a critical incident to have an individual debrief followed by a recovery workout with a professional coach and access to a sauna along with heat and cold exposure. We also offer a physical diagnostic and coaching session as part of annual wellness checks with contracted departments.
